Enjoy the history and culture of Maine’s Native People at our Abbe Museum open year round just a short walk from the Ivy Manor. A Must for the whole family is the “Bar” of Bar Harbor. Make sure you check the local tide schedule to get back in time before the time rolls in. Kids love it. For those wanting to stay in shape on vacation, visit our YMCA, open 7 days a week. Again, just a short walk from the inn. Biking, we have several bike shops in town for all kids or advanced bikers. Walking the carriage trails, hiking Cadillac Mountain, carriage ride, on horse drawn carriages, golf at our public course Kebo, swimming in our “chilly” Sand Beach. Climb the Precipice, visit Thunder Hole, and you don’t want to miss visiting Sueur de Mont Springs, museums, dining on “Maine Lobster” or a lovely enchanting walk along our famous shore path. Our shuttle bus has eight routes to key shopping points. Assistance with any activities or reservations always available. At days end, return to The Ivy Manor for wine and cheese for your 4 pm to 6 pm gathering of guests.
